The Waukon girls track team was finally able to host its first of two scheduled home meets this season after not being allowed by Mother Nature to compete at home for quite some time. After finishing fourth out of six teams at that Waukon Early Bird Invitational Tuesday, April 14, the Indian girls performed a little sweeping action in the sprint relay events to finish second at the seven-team Chickasaw Invitational in New Hampton Thursday, April 16.
The Lady Indians were scheduled to compete at Crestwood Tuesday, April 21 before traveling to West Union Thursday, April 23 for the North Fayette Valley Invitational. The Tribe’s 4x100 relay crew of senior Lyvia Bulman, juniors Nicole Behrend and Madison Snitker, and sophomore Regan Wasson will also be competing in the Drake Relays in Des Moines Friday, April 24.
The Tribe tracksters will then host their own Indian Relays Tuesday, April 28, with further details of that event also being printed in a shaded box elsewhere on this same page. The Indians will then wrap up that next week at MFL/MarMac Thursday, April 30.
