Jean Ann Hurm and Jeanie (Smith) Carroll visited with their classmates prior to the class enjoying a ride aboard the Maiden Voyage piloted by Robert Vavra, who gave several interesting facts about the river and landmarks as the classmates cruised the Mississippi. John O’Neill did a great job as emcee for the evening and kept everyone aware of what to expect and what was going on. A delicious meal was served on the boat prepared by Pat (Bulman) Moody and Rita (Williams) Mathis, with serving help from Jean Livingston. Dennis Colsch had a birthday that same day and Jim Wolfe had a birthday the next day, so the birthday song was sung twice.
The boat stopped and a moment of silence was held for those who passed away from the class. As the classmate’s name was read, a balloon was released with their name on it: Fred Koch, Roland Schmidt, Larry Donovan, Sheryl (Smerud) Snodgrass, Jerry Livingston, Shirley (Pedretti) Larson, Alice (Mullarkey) Larson, Billy Mitchell and Tom Peters.
During the ride each classmate told something they remembered about St. George.  It was very entertaining and classmates learned some things they had never known before. Letters and comments were read from classmates who couldn’t attend.
The committee of Rita (Williams) Mathis, Pat (Bulman) Moody and Mary (Conway) O’Neill were recognized and thanked for their work in organizing the reunion.
