Kee volleyball team wins at Central Elkader, and three of five at Waukon Tournament

The Kee volleyball team had a busy latter portion of the week that proved fairly successful overall, as the Hawks won four of six matches this past week. The Kee netters posted their first Upper Iowa Conference road victory of the season in four sets at Central Elkader Thursday, September 17 by scores of 25-27, 25-19, 25-21 and 25-22 before playing to the championship semifinals at the Waukon Tournament Saturday, September 19. The Hawks won two of three pool play matches at the tournament before splitting two championship bracket matches, both of Kee’s match losses at the tournament coming to the eventual tournament champion, Class 3A New Hampton.
Sporting a 7-7 overall record, including a 2-1 mark in Upper Iowa Conference play, the Hawks were scheduled to next play at Postville Tuesday, September 22 and remain on the road the following week as well at MFL/MarMac Tuesday, September 29 and at Clayton Ridge Thursday, October 1. Kee will finally return home Tuesday, October 6 to host West Central and remain there for a Thursday, October 8 home date with Edgewood-Colesburg.
