Lansing man charged with arson, variety of other charges in Saturday incident

Saturday morning, November 14, at approximately 3:03 a.m., the Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a fire and an assault at  a residence located at 1788 Faegre Prairie Road in rural Lansing of Allamakee County. The initial investigation indicated the fire had been intentionally started as a result of an arson.
Ryan Daniel Troendle, age 31, of Lansing fled the scene and was pursued by law enforcement. Troendle was later taken into custody at a farm located on Dry Ridge Drive. He has been charged with the following as a result of the initial investigation:
Eluding, a Class D felony; Assault While Participating In A Felony, a Class C felony; Operating A Motor Vehicle Without Owners Consent, an aggravated misdemeanor; Willful Injury Causing Serious Injury, a Class C felony; Third Degree Criminal Mischief, an aggravated misdemeanor; Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon, a Class D felony; First Degree Arson, a Class B felony.
The incident remains under investigation by the Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office. Assisting at the scene were the Waukon Police Department and the Lansing Fire Department. No other details were available due to the ongoing investigation.
