Register now for Waterville All-School Reunion featuring variety of events set for June 25-26

Plans are progressing for the Waterville All-School Reunion to be held June 25-26 of this year. The reunion is for anyone who is or ever has been associated with the school in Waterville in any way, including alumni, teachers, board members, secretaries, bus drivers and cooks. Family members and descendants of these folks are also invited and encouraged to join in the festivities and share memories.
Registration can be done by completing the form found online. Those registration forms, along with the appropriate registration and other fees, are to be mailed to Cletus Mathis at 506 Fifth Avenue NW, Waukon, IA 52172.
A registration fee of $25 per person will cover the cost of the reunion banquet. Canvas totes with a Waterville School Emblem are also available at $5 per tote and must be ordered and paid with each registration. Along with graduation date, maiden name and other information asked for on the form, registrants are also asked to share any information about themselves or their family, along with how the Waterville School may have impacted their life. Registrations need to be received by May 1 of this year.
The official reunion banquet will be held Sunday, June 26 at the Waukon Banquet Center. Registration will begin at 11 a.m. followed by lunch and a program with Tom Slattery as host. The afternoon will be available for reminiscing.
Saturday, June 25 has a variety of daytime activities planned in Waterville. Those attending will be able to visit the school, the new library, new fire station and the former Lutheran Church from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. Lunch will be available at the fire station between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., provided by Waterville Parents for Progress for a free will donation. Eagles Landing Winery - established in Marquette by the late Roger Halvorson, a 1951 graduate of Waterville High School, and his wife, Connie - will be hosting a wine tasting opportunity at the fire station between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Connie Halvorson will be there to welcome visitors and assist with the wine tasting event.
Saturday evening is open for individual classes or groups to plan their own activities. Those in need of overnight lodging can find those options through the reunion website, www.waterville.weebly.com.
Additional and updated information can be found at the above-mentioned website or at the reunion’s Facebook page, “Waterville High School Reunion.” Both sites contain registration forms that can be downloaded and mailed for making reservations.
