Waukon girls track team finishes sixth at Northeast Iowa Conference Meet

Freshman Ellec Armstead soars to NEIC championship in the high jump

For the second consecutive week, the Waukon girls track team was limited to just a single meet and that lone competition marked an end to the Indians’ regular season. The track Tribe took part in the annual Northeast Iowa Conference (NEIC) Meet Thursday, May 4 at Waverly-Shell Rock High School, finishing sixth in the final team standings with a total of 58 team points.

The Edgewood-Colesburg meet the track Tribe had scheduled for Monday, May 1 was canceled due to cool, rainy weather.
