Court selected for Homecoming 2017 being celebrated at Waukon High School this week...

Students at Waukon High School have selected their Homecoming representatives for 2017, with the coronation of this year's Homecoming Queen and King set to take place at the traditional "Burning of the 'W'" pep rally scheduled for this Thursday evening, September 21, beginning at 7 p.m. at Waukon High School. Pictured in the photo above right, are this year's Waukon High School Homecoming Queen and King candidates from the 2017-2018 Senior class, including: Left to right - Front row: Queen candidates Lauren Elliott, Rylea Nagel, Kaia Johanningmeier and Rylee Einck. Back row: King candidates Evan Armstead, Jess Kloke, Alex Brink and Abe Schwartz. Pictured in the photo at right, front to back and left to right, are Freshman Class attendants Hailey Fahey and Conner Schwartzhoff, Sophomore Class attendants Madalyn Ellingson and Luke Pladsen, and Junior Class attendants Aubree Cota and Michael Headington. The parade route for this Friday's Homecoming Parade at 2 p.m. will begin at the Mulligan's parking lot in south Waukon and end at the Waukon High School parking lot, traveling up Rossville Road/Spring Avenue to its stoplight intersection with Main Street before heading west to Sixth Street NW, north past East Elementary School to Third Avenue NW and then west up to the Waukon High School.
