Kee football team falls hard in first District 3 road test, 50-6, at Tripoli

Hitting the road Friday, September 15 for the first time in its Eight-Player District 3 schedule this season, the Kee football team headed to the home of one of the District’s still unbeaten teams, Tripoli, a team that had outscored its first three opponents of this season by a combined 144-66 count and had racked up nearly 1,000 yards of combined offense in those first three games. Regardless of what had been accomplished by the high-powered Panthers in their previous games, the football Hawks had early opportunities to contend with Tripoli, but missed out on those opportunities and saw the game roll away to a 50-6 Kee defeat.

Falling to 1-3 on the season, 1-1 in Eight-Player District 3 play, the Hawks are next scheduled to host Dunkerton this Friday, September 22 for their Homecoming game. The Raiders hold an even record on the season, both overall at 2-2 and now in District 3 play at 1-1. They suffered an initial District 3 loss to top-rated Don Bosco, 66-24, but bounced back with a 76-20 win at Central Elkader this past week.
