Patrick Sandry

Patrick Allen Sandry, 49, of Lansing passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Mayo Healthcare in La Crosse, WI after a short, courageous battle with cancer. Funeral Services were held Monday, November 20 at the United Methodist Church in Lansing. Pastor Sedar Wembonyama and Pastor Tom Mattson were the officiants. Interment was held in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Lansing following the funeral.

Patrick Allen Sandry was born August 25, 1968 in Waukon to Robert Sr. and Marian (Halverson) Sandry. Pat graduated from Kee High School in 1986. Pat’s first job was working in California as a carpenter with Dennis Palmer. After that he had worked for Northern Engraving, Viking Insulation and Culligan.

He was presently working for Cabela’s in Prairie du Chien, WI as second shift Lead in the Distribution Center for 10 years.

Pat was an avid fisherman and hunter, as he enjoyed learning from the old guys and teaching the young guys about fishing and hunting.  He thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors and had a great passion for fishing and hunting. He owned a pontoon which he enjoyed fishing on and just cruising the river with friends and family. He truly treasured the beauty of the Lansing area and the community.

Pat touched so many lives by his friendship, infectious-mischievous smile and stories. He was a loving, caring, generous, funny, quick-witted young man with a heart of gold. He lived his life to the fullest.  He would always put others before himself and had a deep respect for others. Pat always took the time to visit with people and would have a good story to share. He had the ability to make people smile. He was truly one of a kind and most definitely a good host. To know Pat was to love Pat.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Marian (Halverson) and Duane Meier of Lansing; two sisters, Kim (Gary) Welsh of Lansing and Pam Herman of Lansing; one brother, Robert (Mary) Sandry, Jr. of DeWitt; four nieces, six nephews and many special friends. Pat is preceded in death by his father, Robert Sandry, Sr.

Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Lansing assisted the family with arrangements.
