Kee boys basketball team falls at intra-county foe Postville, 62-37

In its only competition of the week, the Kee boys basketball team stayed within its own county and conference, but also stayed within its own recent trend of game results with a 62-37 loss at Postville Friday, January 26. A strong first half effort that left the Hawks nearly even with the host Pirates at the halftime break gave way to double-digit margins in each of the game’s latter two frames to allow Postville to pull away to its decisive final edge.

Falling to a 2-14 season record, including a 2-10 mark in Upper Iowa Conference play, Kee was scheduled for a busy week, hosting West Central Tuesday, January 30 before back-to-back road games to end the week, at Seneca, WI Thursday, February 1 and at Turkey Valley Friday, February 2. The Hawks will then wrap up their regular season the following week with a pair of non-conference contests, hosting Riceville Monday, February 5 before also hosting Coulee Christian out of Wisconsin Thursday, February 8. Kee’s postseason trail is scheduled to be mapped out later this week as well.
