Nightcrawlers Forever Committee seeking donations for annual community fundraiser

The Nightcrawlers Forever committee is planning its annual community benefit potluck to be held at T.J.'s Banquet Center in Lansing Sunday, February 25. A pork dinner, kid's games, silent auction and raffles will be starting at 11 a.m., with an auction to begin at 1:30 p.m.

The committee members appreciate the support of the many local businesses and individuals who have made this event successful in the past. Those who have not contributed in the past are asked to consider a donation to this year's event. Contributions can be made either in the form of cash or merchandise.

Some of those benefiting organizations included the Northeast Iowa Shriners, Mississippi Valley Sportsmans Club, the Lansing, Waukon, New Albin, Postville, Waterville, Wheatland and Eitzen Fire Departments, the Harpers Ferry, De Soto and Ferryville Fire & Rescue Squads, Lansing EMS, Lansing Boy, Cub and Girl Scouts, Waukon Boy Scouts, Lansing VFW Post #5981 and Lansing Legion Post, Waukon VFW and Legion, VFW Auxiliary, TASC, Camp Courageous, Camp Sunnyside, Camp Beulah Land, Helping Services of NE Iowa, Northland Agency on Aging, Allamakee County Food Shelf, Disabled Veterans of America, Thunder Rode, Eastern Allamakee, Allamakee and Postville School Districts Dollars for Scholars, De Soto High School Scholarship Fund, the Lansing, Waukon, Postville and De Soto Post Prom projects, Great Strides, Kee Youth Football, WW II Freedom Flight Vets, Friends of Pool 9, Lansing Fish Days Tournament, Lansing Lions, Blackhawk Kids Fishing Tournament and the New Albin Elementary School Library.

Those wishing to make a donation to the event this year are asked to do so by Friday, February 16, if possible, in any of the following ways:

• Drop off or mail to: Mark and Amy Peterson, 1657 Chief Lane, New Albin, IA 52160;
• Drop off or mail to: Gus and Jeannie Berger, P.O. Box 356, 703 First Street NE, Waukon, IA 52172;
