Waukon boys track team gets outdoor competition season underway with sixth-place result at New Hampton

A wait of more than two weeks to compete on an outdoor track finally came to a close for the Waukon boys track team, as the Indians traveled to New Hampton Thursday, April 12. The track Tribe claimed seven top-three event finishes to help accumulate 74 team points on the way to a sixth-place finish in the meet’s nine-team field.

The Indians were scheduled to compete at Decorah Monday, April 16 (that meet now being canceled due to weather) before hosting their own Indian Relays Friday, April 20 at 4:30 p.m. The track Tribe is next slated to compete at Oelwein Tuesday, April 24 for its only scheduled competition this next week.
