Waukon girls track team gets to compete at North Fayette Valley and finishes third

For the second consecutive week, the Waukon girls track team was able to get just one of its scheduled meets in, having its Tuesday, April 17 Crestwood Invitational canceled due to winter weather. The Lady Indians were able to compete at the North Fayette Valley Invitational Friday, April 20, posting a handful of top-three finishes to help tally 73 team points for a third-place team finish as well in the meet’s 11-team field.

The Indians also had their Tuesday, April 17 meet at Crestwood canceled this past week and were next scheduled to host their own Indian Relays Tuesday, April 24, beginning at 4:30 p.m. with field events, before competing at MFL/MarMac Thursday, April 26. The track Tribe is then scheduled to travel to Edgewood-Colesburg Monday, April 30 before competing in the annual Northeast Iowa Conference Meet Thursday, May 3.
