Village Farm and Home provides financial support for Waukon FFA ...

Support from local businesses is essential in the success of the Little Switzerland FFA chapter at Waukon High School and its members, and Village Farm and Home has been a key player in assisting the local FFA chapter. Village Farm and Home partners with Red Brand Fencing, a supporter of FFA for 70 years, through the Home Grown Program. Through the Home Grown Program, for every roll of wire that is purchased at Village Farm, $1 is donated back to the local FFA chapter. Village Farm and Home partnered with Red Brand Fencing and the National FFA Organization to most recently donate $775 to the Little Switzerland chapter.

Annually, over 900 chapters from across the nation will receive a donation from the partnership that Red Brand has to offer. The donated funds will be used towards contest materials, National FFA Convention and other FFA necessities. From 2012 to 2017, Village Farm and Home, with the help of its customers, have provided $6,400 to the Waukon FFA chapter. “We thank Sweeney’s Village Farm and Home and their customers for their support and generosity,” Little Switzerland FFA Chapter leaders shared. “Their financial support has offered our FFA members more opportunities, new experiences, and encouraged more participation in FFA contests.”
