Honored by Iowa Bankers Association...

Carol Krumme of Waukon State Bank was recently honored by the Iowa Bankers Association for 50 years of service to Waukon State Bank. She was one of 21 individuals recognized in Iowa for reaching the 50-year milestone and received the plaque and pin she is displaying in the adjacent photo to commemorate the occasion.

John Sorenson, Iowa Bankers Association President stated, “Iowa Banks have been a trusted resource for Iowans for more than 100 years. We are honored to have the commitment and experience of bankers like Carol Krumme, who have worked to provide valuable service to Iowa bank customers and their communities for more than half a century.”

Krumme began her banking career at Waukon State Bank in January of 1968 when she was a senior at Waukon High School. She worked at the bank through the Office Education Program and came to work every afternoon during the school day. When she graduated high school in May of 1968, she began working full-time and remained there until retiring from the bank in January of 2018.

“Carol provided excellent customer service for 50 years and loved assisting her customers in the teller line,” shared Waukon State Bank leadership. “Carol had true dedication to the bank and her customers. She is greatly deserving of this honor from the Iowa Bankers Association.” Submitted photo.
