Kee softball team’s split of four games includes home sweep of Clayton Ridge and pair of losses at NFV Tournament shortened by rainy weather

Familiar scene during Mudderman’s plate perfection ... The Kee softball team spent plenty of time swarming home plate during the Hawks’ home doubleheader sweep of Clayton Ridge Wednesday, June 1, as the Hawks powered five homeruns out of the ballpark that included three solo blasts by senior Reagan Mudderman. Mudderman’s round-trip rampage was part of her perfect night at the plate that included six hits in six at-bats with three round-trippers, three singles and three walks that scored a team high six runs and drove in four more. The Kee softball team ended up playing just four games this past week, as the second day of the North Fayette Valley Tournament was canceled by rainy weather Saturday, June 4. Prior to that cancellation, the softball Hawks first recorded a home sweep of Clayton Ridge in “grand” fashion Wednesday, June 1 by scores of 11-1 in five innings and 8-5 in walk-off fashion. The Kee girls also played two games the first day of that North Fayette Valley, suffering losses of 12-0 in three innings to Osage and 5-2 to Don Bosco.

The Lady Hawks were next scheduled to play a varsity doubleheader at North Fayette Valley Monday, June 6 before hosting Turkey Valley for the same Wednesday, June 8 and then playing in the Vinton-Shellsburg Tournament Saturday, June 11. The Kee diamond dwellers will then play a varsity doubleheader at MFL/MarMac Monday, June 13 before hosting Decorah Wednesday, June 15 and then playing in the West Delaware Tournament Friday and Saturday, June 17-18.
