Kee baseball team extends win streak to 14 games with two more Upper Iowa Conference wins and Hillcrest Academy Tournament championship

The Kee baseball team put together another undefeated week, extending another double-digit win streak to 14 games with a sweep of its entire five-game schedule this past week. The Hawks opened the week with an 11-1 win at home in six innings over Janesville Monday, June 13 and posted a 14-4 victory at Turkey Valley in five innings Tuesday, June 14. Kee’s diamond dwellers pulled out a 5-4 win at home over MFL/MarMac Thursday, June 16 before sweeping two games to win the Hillcrest Academy Tournament at Kalona Saturday, June 18, including a 12-8 win over Keokuk in the opening round and a 9-6 victory over Hillcrest Academy in the championship game to complete another undefeated week and improve to a 25-2 overall record that includes a still unbeaten, 12-0 mark in Upper Iowa Conference play.

The Hawks were next scheduled to host South Winneshiek for a doubleheader Monday, June 20, play a single game at Postville Tuesday, June 21 and at Clayton Ridge Thursday, June 23 before playing in the Waterloo Bucks Tournament Saturday, June 25. The Kee boys will then play a varsity doubleheader at North Fayette Valley Monday, June 27 before playing Wapsie Valley Tuesday, June 28 at Luther College in Decorah.
