In one of its lightest schedules of the season, the Waukon softball team won one of just three games played this past week. That win came in a split of a Tuesday, June 14 home doubleheader with Waverly-Shell Rock that included a 4-3 comeback win in the first game and a 6-0 loss in the nightcap. The diamond Tribe wrapped up its week with a 3-0 loss at home to Crestwood Friday, June 17.
Now holding a 4-11 overall record that includes a 1-9 mark in Northeast Iowa Conference play, the Lady Indians were next scheduled to host North Fayette Valley Monday, June 20, play a varsity doubleheader at Decorah Tuesday, June 21, host New Hampton Friday, June 24 and play in the Decorah Tournament Saturday, June 25. The Tribe will then host Charles City for a varsity doubleheader Tuesday, June 28 and MFL/MarMac Wednesday, June 29 before playing at Waverly-Shell Rock Friday, July 1 to wrap up its regular season.
