Coming off its busiest week of the season, the Kee boys basketball team was looking to build off a dramatic win that ended that previous week, playing a pair of games in Upper Iowa Conference competition this past week. Facing a pair of teams battling for second place in the Upper Iowa Conference (UIC) standings behind a yet UIC-unbeaten MFL/MarMac squad, the Hawks couldn’t quite continue that late-week momentum into this past week, falling at North Fayette Valley by a 56-48 count Tuesday, January 17 before suffering a similar fate at home, 66-48, to Clayton Ridge Friday, January 20.

Falling to a 3-11 season record that includes a 3-7 mark in Upper Iowa Conference play, the Hawks were next scheduled to play at South Winneshiek Tuesday, January 24 before hosting Postville Friday, January 27. They will then play back-to-back nights, hosting South Winneshiek Monday, January 30 to make up a December 15 postponement and then traveling to West Central Tuesday, January 31 before making up another game postponed from November 29 when they travel to Central Elkader Thursday, February 2.
