Waukon bowling teams record home sweep of Oelwein

Huffey wrapped up the Lady Indians’ varsity effort at the meet, bowling games of 87 and 65 pins for a 152 series total. The Waukon bowling teams each recorded a victory in their Friday, January 20 home meet with Oelwein. The Indian girls faced a limited Husky squad that had just two young ladies competing, tallying 1810 pins for their varsity total to easily improve their season record to 5-1. The Waukon boys rolled to a 2604-2474 victory to get back on the winning track and advance to a 4-2 season mark.

The bowling Indians were next scheduled to compete in their Conference Meet Wednesday, January 25 in Waterloo before hosting Sumner-Fredericksburg Friday, January 27 and then competing at North Iowa Monday, January 30 in a match rescheduled from December 9 by weather. The Tribe will then host Denver Friday, February 3 before bowling at New Hampton Friday, February 10.
