The Kee baseball team got its season off to a busy start this past week, playing three games in a span of four nights. That busy stretch proved to be fairly successful, and was just a single run - and even a single play - from going undefeated. The Hawks opened their season with a 5-4 loss at West Delaware Tuesday, May 16 before recording back-to-back victories to close out the week, including a 7-6 win at Waukon Thursday, May 18 and an 8-4 home triumph over Riceville Friday, May 19.

The baseball Hawks were next scheduled for an even busier week this week, playing doubleheaders at Decorah Monday, May 22 and at Turkey Valley Tuesday, May 23 before hosting MFL/MarMac for a double-dip Thursday, May 25 and then hosting Wapsie Valley for the Shooky Fink Tournament Saturday, May 27. Kee’s diamond dwellers are then slated to play Dyersville Beckman at the University of Iowa’s Duane Banks Stadium Wednesday, May 31, travel to North Fayette Valley Thursday, June 1 and then play in the Crusader Baseball Tournament hosted by Coon Rapids-Bayard Saturday, June 3.
