Kee softball team opens season with pair of road losses to larger schools from the NEIC, 10-5 at Crestwood and 5-2 at Waukon

The Kee softball team got its 2023 campaign underway with a pair of games on the road played against larger schools from the Northeast Iowa Conference this past week, having final-inning rallies fall short against both of those host squads. The Lady Hawks started the season with a 10-5 loss at Crestwood Monday, May 22 before also falling at Waukon Thursday, May 25 by a 5-2 final result.

The softball Hawks were next scheduled to open Upper Iowa Conference (UIC)play Wednesday, May 31 at Clayton Ridge before playing in the North Fayette Valley Tournament Friday and Saturday, June 2-3. The Kee girls will then host North Fayette Valley Monday, June 5 and play at Turkey Valley Wednesday, June 7 - both in UIC doubleheaders - before playing in the Riceville Tournament Saturday, June 10.
