Waukon softball team opens 2023 campaign with undefeated week that includes two wins, 12-0 over Clayton Ridge and 5-2 over Kee

The Waukon softball team has its 2023 season off to an undefeated start following a pair of home victories over two Upper Iowa Conference teams this past week. The Lady Indians began their summer campaign with a 12-0 home romp over Clayton Ridge in four innings Wednesday, May 24 before battling intra-county squad Kee to a 5-2 victory Thursday, May 25.

The Lady Indians were next scheduled for a busy week, opening Northeast Iowa Conference (NEIC) play Tuesday, May 30 at home against Crestwood with a doubleheader before traveling to Decorah Thursday, June 1 and South Winneshiek Friday, June 2 prior to playing in the North Fayette Valley Tournament Saturday, June 3. The diamond Tribe is then slated to play at Central Elkader Monday, June 5, host New Hampton for another NEIC doubleheader Tuesday, June 6, host Charles City Friday, June 9 and play in the Riceville Tournament Saturday, June 10.
