Kee softball team’s three wins include UIC splits with North Fayette Valley and at Turkey Valley, 8-6 triumph over 2A #14 Osage at Riceville Tournament

Seven games on just three different dates resulted in a trio of those contests being put in the win column for the Kee softball team this past week, as the Lady Hawks picked up a single win on each of those dates. A Monday, June 5 home doubleheader split with North Fayette Valley included a 7-4 win and a 13-2 loss in five innings before a similar split result was recorded at Turkey Valley Wednesday, June 7 with a 19-15 loss followed by a 12-6 victory. Kee’s diamond dwellers wrapped up the week with three games at the Riceville Tournament Saturday, June 10, falling to St. Ansgar, 6-3, and Hudson, 10-2, but also recording an 8-6 win over Class 2A 14th-rated Osage.

Currently holding a 5-10 season record that includes a 4-2 mark in Upper Iowa Conference (UIC) play, the softball Hawks were next scheduled to host MFL/MarMac for a varsity doubleheader Monday, June 12 before playing in the two-day West Delaware Tournament Friday and Saturday, June 16-17.

The Kee girls will then host Postville for a varsity doubleheader Monday, June 19, do likewise with Central Elkader Wednesday, June 21 and then play in the two-day Don Bosco Tournament Friday and Saturday, June 22-24.
