During the Communications portion of the meeting, the board heard from the Math Professional Learning Team of Blaine Snitker, Cody Snitker, Jason LaPage and Melissa Ward. They explained how they determine what they feel students need to learn and how they make sure that what is being taught aligns with the Iowa Core curriculum. They also explained how they do math talks where students are encouraged to problem solve and discuss solutions to math problems.
