The 64th Annual Bulman Reunion was held July 21, 2024 at the Eitzen Community Center with approximately 25 attending.
After a delicious meal, the meeting was called to order by chairman Bruce Bulman. David Bulman, along with Deb and Brad Harguth, were thanked for setting up the center for the reunion and making sure lunch went smoothly.
Discussion was held on continuing the reunion. Bob Bulman and Ned Bulman sent their regrets. They intended to attend, but had conflicts. The Bart Bulman descendants were in short supply because of a home-gathering for Lotus the week before. It was voted to continue the reunion at the Eitzen Community Center. Next year’s reunion will be held July 20, 2025.
No one wanted to be an officer, so an executive decision was made to keep the current officers. Bruce Bulman, Caledonia, president; Lori Hover, Dorchester, treasurer; LeeAnne Bulman, Independence, WI, secretary; and Laina Ford, Waukon, historian. Please send any family updates to bulmanreunion@gmail.com.
The secretary reported that she will be making more story boards and was looking for ideas. She would like to see more email addresses for the Bulman Blast. Please send what you have. Currently, we have 53 and should have over a thousand if all descendants are listed. She also said she is working on a road tour for those who would like to learn more about the Bulman history. She plans to include local sites of interest and have it ready before the next reunion.
Door prizes were awarded for the oldest: Grace Bulman; the youngest: Ruben Malpica; the person who came the furthest: Oliver Bulman; the family with the most descendants in attendance: Grace Bulman; the person who lives the closest: Grace Bulman.
