Kee girls basketball team avenges pair of first UIC losses to larger schools with home wins, 50-41 over North Fayette Valley, 38-28 over MFL/MarMac

It was a week full of opportunities for revenge for the Kee girls basketball team this past week, and the Lady Hawks took full advantage of those opportunities in both games on their schedule, defeating both of the larger school squads who had handed them their first two Upper Iowa Conference (UIC) losses of this season and their first two losses of the new year 2025. Kee’s bucket brigade opened the week with a 50-41 home triumph over Class 3A North Fayette Valley Tuesday, February 4 and wrapped up the week handing UIC-leading Class 2A MFL/MarMac just its second league loss of this season with a 38-28 victory at home Friday, February 7 to tighten up the final Upper Iowa Conference standings.

The Kee girls now hold a 15-6 season record consisting of a 13-3 mark in Upper Iowa Conference play that places them in third place in the final UIC standings behind the shared conference championship between MFL/MarMac and Turkey Valley and their final UIC records of 14-2. Those two squads had split their two league match-ups throughout this past season, with the Hawks handing each of them their only other UIC loss with their own two-game split with each of them during this 2024-2025 campaign.

The Kee girls were next scheduled to host Spring Grove, MN Tuesday, February 11 to wrap up their regular season. The Lady Hawks will then begin their Class 1A Regional Tournament at home this Thursday, February 13 against Clayton Ridge at 7 p.m.
