In its only competition of this past week, the Waukon girls golf team got its 2025 season off to a promising start, posting its first victory in Northeast Iowa Conference (NEIC) dual meet play since the 2021 season when they hosted Decorah Tuesday, April 8. Behind medalist honors and four scored golfers tallying rounds in the 50s, the Lady Indians recorded a 219-237 victory over the visiting Vikings.
The Lady Indians were next scheduled to play at Crestwood Monday, April 14 before hosting MFL/MarMac, Oelwein and Postville Tuesday, April 15 and then playing a triangular at Clayton Ridge Thursday, April 17. They will then make up their April 1 road date at Houston, MN Tuesday, April 22 before playing in the New Hampton Invitational Thursday, April 24.
