The Kee boys basketball team was looking to make the start of the new year the start to a new direction for its results after finishing off the 2025 portion of its schedule with five consecutive losses. Playing a pair of larger schools that just became members of the Upper Iowa Conference this season, the Hawks couldn’t quite reverse their fortune, falling at New Hampton by a 68-42 result Tuesday, January 6 before battling fellow Allamakee County squad Waukon to a 48-41 loss at home Friday, January 9.

The Hawks were next scheduled to play at South Winneshiek Tuesday, January 13 before playing back-to-back games at home, including Friday, January 16 against MFL/MarMac and Saturday, January 17 against Valley Lutheran. They will then play at East Buchanan Monday, January 19 before hosting West Central Tuesday, January 20 and then play back-to-back dates once again, Friday, January 23 at Turkey Valley and Saturday, January 24 against Wapsie Valley in the Upper Iowa University Shootout at Fayette.
