The Kee boys basketball team remained in search of its first win of the new year after having two games played this past week against Large School division Upper Iowa Conference (UIC) foes both end up shy of halting what has now grown to a nine-game losing streak for the basketball Hawks that began over a month ago. Kee first traveled to the home of one of the frontrunners of that Large School division, falling by a 73-29 result at South Winneshiek Tuesday, January 13, before being dealt a 61-45 loss at home by MFL/MarMac Friday, January 16. A Saturday, January 17 non-conference game with Valley Lutheran was called off due to weather conditions, with a make-up date yet to be announced.
The Hawks were next scheduled to play at East Buchanan Monday, January 19 before hosting West Central Tuesday, January 20 and then playing back-to-back dates once again, Friday, January 23 at Turkey Valley and Saturday, January 24 against Wapsie Valley in the Upper Iowa University Shootout at Fayette. Kee’s boys will then host Postville Tuesday, January 27 and Edgewood-Colesburg Thursday, January 29.
