Waukon boys basketball team establishes new win streak with undefeated week by scores of 60-31 at Independence, 76-50 over Central Elkader, 55-40 at Turkey Valley

After having its season-opening undefeated streak snapped just two games into the new year, the Waukon boys basketball team began a new streak this past week, playing through an undefeated week of three games to now win four more games in a row since this season’s lone loss. Those three wins included a 60-31 non-conference victory at Independence Monday, January 12 before recording back-to-back victories against Upper Iowa Conference teams from the Small School division, 76-50 at home over Central Elkader Thursday, January 15 and 55-40 at Turkey Valley Friday, January 16.

The Indians were next scheduled to host South Winneshiek Tuesday, January 20 before playing another back-to-back pair to end this week, hosting MFL/MarMac Friday, January 23 before playing Dubuque Wahlert Saturday, January 24 in the Upper Iowa University Shootout played in Fayette. The Waukon boys will then play at New Hampton Tuesday, January 27 and then at Charles City Friday, January 30.
