Carol Elaine Chase, 87, of Lansing passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026 at Thornton Manor and Care Center in Lansing. Funeral Service was held Thursday, March 12 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home in Lansing with Rev. Joseph Sevcik as the Officiant. Interment followed at Council Hill Cemetery, rural Monona.
Carol Elaine was born September 30, 1938 to Elmer Clarence Lewis and Margaret (Lestina) Schlitter in Monona. She graduated from Monona High School.
August 20, 1960, Carol was united in marriage with James William Chase at the Evangelical Church in Monona. She briefly worked at Collins Radio, Monona Wire and Sedlmayr Locker, but for a majority of her career Carol was employed at 3M. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, baking buns, doing Genealogy and being the Avon Lady.
Surviving Carol are her sons, Scott (Jonell) Chase and Steve (Marilyn) Chase; her grandchildren, Adam (Danielle) Chase, Amanda Chase and Adriana (Evan) Baumler, and Jen (Cody Hager, Zach Chase and Nick (Taylor) Chase; her great-grandchildren, Bradyn, Ryan, Phoenix, Jaden, Bailee, Addy, Clay, Emma, Jameson, Waylon, Jadelynn, Jensen, Jaxon, Levi, Maisyn and Sylvia; her sister, Deanna Krambeer; and her brother, Frank Schlitter.
Preceding Carol in death were her husband, James Chase; her grandson, Andrew Chase; her brother-in-law, Harold Krambeer; and her sister-in-law, Sandy Schlitter.
Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Lansing assisted the family with services.
