Main Street Lansing welcomed a new business to the downtown district with a ribbon cutting and First Dollar presentation for LP Styles LLC, owned and operated by local entrepreneur Lilly Peterson. A Lansing native and graduate of Kee High School, Peterson pursued her passion for hairstyling at the Salon Professional Academy in Onalaska, WI. Her dream of opening a salon in her hometown has now come full circle.
Located inside the Driftless Edit storefront at 211 Main Street in Lansing, LP Styles brings professional hair services and a hometown touch to the community. As pictured in the photo above, friends, family, and community members gathered to celebrate Peterson’s accomplishment and officially welcome her business to the Main Street Lansing business district.
“Opening my salon in Lansing means so much to me because it’s my hometown, and I love the tight-knit community here,” said Peterson. “My goal is to make every person who sits in my chair feel confident, beautiful, and like the best version of themselves.”
LP Styles offers a full range of services including haircuts, color, styling, and facial waxing, with a specialty in color and highlighting services. As part of the celebration, Main Street Lansing presented Peterson with a ceremonial First Dollar (as pictured in the photo below) - a tradition recognizing new business beginnings and wishing success for years to come.
“Supporting new businesses like LP Styles is at the heart of what we do,” said Jackie Cooper, Executive Director of Main Street Lansing. “Lilly’s passion, talent, and commitment to our community are exactly what make downtown Lansing thrive.”
Community members are encouraged to stop in, support local, and welcome Lilly Peterson and LP Styles to Main Street. Appointments can be made by calling or texting 563-379-1953, or by connecting with LP Styles on Facebook and Instagram. Photos courtesy of Main Street Lansing.
