Waukon boys golf team’s successful week includes wins in home triangular and Big Rock 18-Hole Tournament before finishing second at South Winneshiek Invitational

The Waukon boys golf team played through a busy week of three events this past week, including a pair of late-week 18-hole events. The Indians found considerable success in that trio of competitions, winning two of the three and finishing runner-up in the other. Those wins included topping the three-team field of a Tuesday, April 7 home triangular before doing likewise in the Big Rock 18-Hole Tournament of five teams played at Fayette Thursday, April 9. The golf Tribe ended up in second place out of six teams playing in the South Winn Invitational Saturday, April 11.

The Indians were next scheduled to host a home triangular Monday, April 13 when Central Elkader and MFL/MarMac visit Waukon Golf and Country Club, before playing at Waverly-Shell Rock Monday, April 20 against the host Go-Hawks and New Hampton. They will then host New Hampton Tuesday, April 21 before playing in a Clayton Ridge quadrangular at Guttenberg Monday, April 27, playing at Sumner-Fredericksburg Tuesday, April 28 and competing in the West Delaware 18-hole quadrangular Thursday, April 30.
