The Kee softball team breezed through an undefeated weekday schedule this past week, sweeping four Upper Iowa Conference (UIC) games in a pair of doubleheaders that saw the Lady Hawks outscore their fellow Allamakee County UIC squads by a combined run total of 50-2. Kee’s diamond dandies first claimed a pair of mercy-rule wins at Postville Monday, June 15 by scores of 15-0 and 16-1 before also ending a pair of home games with Waukon early Wednesday, June 17 with victories of 11-1 and 8-0. The Kee girls were also scheduled to play four games over two days in the West Delaware Tournament this past weekend, with coverage details of those contests being printed in a future edition of The Standard.
The Lady Hawks were next scheduled to host a varsity doubleheader with Central Elkader Monday, June 22 and play the same at South Winneshiek Wednesday, June 24 before playing in the two-day Don Bosco Invitational Friday and Saturday, June 26-27. They will then wrap up their regular season schedule with two varsity games at Clayton Ridge Monday, June 29 and another varsity doubleheader at home against MFL/MarMac Wednesday, July 1.
