Brenda and Logan Houg defend Couples Tournament title for fifth straight victory at Waukon Golf & Country Club

The annual Couples Golf Tournament for 2026 was held Sunday, August 9 at the Waukon Golf and Country Club. There were 27 couples that participated in this year’s event. Mother Nature tried to dampen the golfers’ spirits, but allowed the event to happen with just a bit of delay in the start.

Once again the winner of the tournament was the mother/son team of Brenda and Logan Houg, who shot a 68 to win their fifth consecutive tournament title. Other flight winners were Nancy and Beaver Weis, and Alyce and Jeff Schaller. Other top flight results are listed in this week's edition of The Standard.
