Kee football team secures Eight-Player District 4 runner-up finish, stronger play-off qualification with 60-0 road victory at Central City

What was set up to be a battle for second place in the Eight-Player District 4 standings between two teams with a single district loss, turned out to not be much of a battle at all as the Kee football team took full control of that district runner-up spot with a 60-0 domination at Central City Friday, October 9. Despite a lone turnover on the doorstep of something even bigger in their first possession of the ballgame, the football Hawks went on to score on eight of their 10 full possessions of the ballgame, with six of those tallies ranging from 21 to 60 yards in length.

The Hawks will then await announcement of their Eight-Player State Play-Off fate. All 10 district champions in the Eight-Player class will get to host their first-round play-off contest, but only six of 10 district runner-up teams will get to host their first-round play-off games as well. That determination will be fully made after this coming Friday’s final games of the regular season with fewest district losses being the first determining factor, followed by highest 17-point tie-breaker average, then any head-to-head results, and finally, reverse alphabetical order, if needed.
