Custom Car Credit settling in at its Main Street location in Waukon

Custom Car Credit opened for business November 1 on Main Street in Waukon. Owned by Custom Car Credit Corp. and operated by Rory Schlitter and Jeremy Klendworth, Custom Car Credit offers in-house financing to almost anyone looking to purchase a vehicle.
“Right now our economy is going through some trying times and more and more, people are needing our services,” Schlitter said. “Buy here, pay here in-house financing at a low A.P.R 9.9% can be a real benefit to the community - giving people transportation when they otherwise would have none.”
Klendworth added that a location in Waukon has long been a goal of Custom Car Credit Corp. “Since we moved into Oelwein in 2007, it has been our goal to cover northeast Iowa and Waukon was always a target for a northern location,” Klendworth said.
Klendworth says that what makes Custom Car Credit unique is that financing is not based on credit, down payment or past credit decisions. “We base our decisions on honesty, accuracy and the ability to make a payment,” he explained.
“Knowing that many times we are the only company willing to give somebody a chance is very rewarding - putting them in a car, providing them transportation to work and a way to see family and friends,” Schlitter added.
In the future, Klendworth says that Custom Car Credit Corp. hopes to expand into central and western Iowa.
