Drug, other charges filed in two October 1 incidents in Allamakee County

Two separate incidents Thursday, October 1 resulted in the arrests of three Postville men on drug and other charges.
A traffic stop conducted on Williams Creek Road northeast of Postville resulted in charges against David Michael Heidt, age 38, of Postville. Heidt was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamines), Operating While Intoxicated Second or Subsequent Offense, Driving While Barred, and No SR-22 Insurance. He was booked into the Allamakee County Jail.
A search warrant was also executed in the Postville area October 1 at 651 Bulls Hollow Road. As a result of that search, law enforcement officials charged Gregory Doorene Winter, age 46, and Chad Martin Halverson, age 31, both of Postville, with Possession of a Controlled Substance (marijuana) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both Winter and Halverson were booked into the Allamakee County Jail.
Law enforcement agencies executing the search warrant included the Allamakee County Sheriff's Office, Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office, Clayton County Sheriff's Office, Postville Police Department, Calmar Police Department, Iowa State Patrol and Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.
