Egan, Mennen joined in marriage June 21

Kelli Jo Egan of Urbandale and Jeffrey Brett Mennen of Des Moines were joined in marriage June 21 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Waukon. Officiating at the ceremony were Father Joseph Schneider and Msgr. Ed Lechtenberg.

The bride, given away by her father, is the daughter of Joe and Mary Egan of Waterville and the granddaughter of Leota Pfiffner of Waukon, Myrtle Egan of Harpers Ferry and Rodney and Becky Lorentzson of Cotton, MN.

The groom is the son of Terry and Janet Mennen of Parkersburg and the grandson of Lester and Jeanette Mennen of Ackley.

Maid of Honor was Lane Thornburgh of Urbandale. The bride's other attendants were Beth Brink, Alicia Kelly and Jessica Pollock. Usherettes were Tara Raymond and Becca Sanger. The bride's personal attendant was Karen Frick.

Best Man was Mark Hubbard of Waverly. Groomsmen were Brandon Krusey, Justin Parker and Andy Pollock. Ushers were Darrell Souhrada and Seth Dohrn.

Music was provided by soloists Dusty Egan, Adrienne Gerst and Andy Pollock. Harpist was Jacque Venter-Ridder and organist/pianist was Mary Regan. Musical selections included "A Page is Turned," "You Raise Me Up," "I Will Be Here," "Ava Maria" and "How Beautiful."

A reception and dance, hosted by the bride's godparents, Mike and Joan Reburn, and the groom's cousins, Brian and Ramona Mitchell, were held at the Waukon Reception and Banquet Center. Breakfast was held after the dance and hosted by the bride's aunts and uncles.

The bride is a graduate of Waukon Senior High and Central College in Pella and works as a Reading Specialist at Southeast Polk Middle School in Des Moines. She is also pursuing her master's degree in education.

The groom graduated from Aplington-Parkersburg High School and from Wartburg College in Waverly and is employed by Pella Corp. as a Senior Business Analyst.

The couple honeymooned in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and resides in Des Moines.
