Violet Beneke, Violet Stehr, Maudie Syhlman and Bev Dresselhaus were the hostess at St. Peter’s U.C.C. Women’s Fellowship on Tuesday, April 5th. Marilyn Oitzman was in charge of the program. A video was shown on the Food Resource Bank. The U.C.C. and Disciples have formed relationships with the F.R.B. work to provide food and growing supplies to people in need. St. Peter’s W.F. have decided to support the program for a year.

The birthday song was sung for Alice Meyer who is on our Honorary list and lives in her apartment in Prairie du Chein.

May 3rd will be our Salad Luncheon. Group III will be in charge of the decorating and kitchen duties. Officers will be in charge of the special program. Guests are invited. Thinking of you cards were sent to our home shut-ins and nursing home residents.

“Finding Nemo” is the name of the movie showing at the Way Station Theater on Friday, April 15th at 7 pm and Saturday, April 16th at 1 pm. Doors open 15 minutes before showtime and concessions are sold during the movie.

SENIOR CITIZENS

The New Albin Senior Citizens met for their Recreational meeting on Friday, April 8th at the New Albin Town House. There were 14 members present. It was undecided who could go to play cards at Thornton Manor this month.

Progressive Euchre was played. Lester Meyer won First Prize; Melba Beneke, 2nd prize; and Belva Becker, Door prize. Stella Burmester and Marie Solberg served lunch and Hank & Belva Becker served treats for their wedding anniversary and Gladys Bakewell served treats for her birthday.

The next meeting will be April 29th with a potluck dinner at noon and business meeting.
