New venture Sportsmen’s Unlimited has something for every outdoor enthusiast

When residents of this area think of the opportunities that living here brings, one of the foremost opportunities is the great hunting, fishing, and other outdoor sporting activities that they have access to everyday. It was from these experiences that Waukon's newest retailer, Sportsmen's Unlimited, was born.

Managed by brothers Jeremy and Justin Johnson, who were both born and raised in Waukon and grew up hunting and fishing in the area, Sportsmen's Unlimited carries products to fill the needs of area hunters, fishing afficionados, and outdoor enthusiasts alike. "It's a place for tourists and area residents to stop in and get their hunting and camping supplies," explains Justin.

For those who are into game hunting, they carry hunting apparel, ammunition, licenses, and other hunting supplies. They will also carry bows and muzzleloaders. For the fishing enthusiast, they offer live bait, lures, poles, licenses, and other items. Sportsmen's Unlimited also carries equipment for water sports, like water skiing and canoeing. A canoe rental service will be offered through them in the near future.

They can also fill CO2 canisters for use in paintball guns, as well as carry paintball supplies and an assortment of some outdoor apparel. Another service they offer is fixing windows and screens.

Sportsmen's Unlimited is open seven day a week, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, and gift certificates are available. Having just held their Grand Opening the first part of April, the Johnson brothers are now mainly focused on getting their new business venture up and running. Jeremy and Justin would like to express their appreciation to everyone for their business and support thus far.
