Official trick-or-treat times set for Halloween; Local care facilities offer safe, fun opportunities

The City of Waukon has set its official Trick-or-Treat time for Thursday, October 31 from 5-8 p.m. Area residents are asked to leave porch lights on to welcome trick-or-treaters,  and the youngsters are reminded to keep safety in mind while making their rounds from house to house.

Northgate Care Center
Northgate Care Center in Waukon will be offering open house trick-or-treating Halloween evening, Thursday, October 31 from 4:30-6 p.m. Northgate Care Center, owned and operated by ABCM Corporation, has welcomed children for trick-or treating for several years in an effort to offer parents and children a safe alternative to outside trick-or-treating. Residents and staff look forward to seeing the children dressed in their Halloween costumes and sharing the experience with them.
Due to the ongoing construction at Northgate Care Center, kids and parents should enter the south entrance of the building next to the administrative offices. From there, proceed down the south wing to the dining room and commons area for trick-or-treating.

Good Samaritan Society
Good Samaritan Society – Waukon would like to invite trick-or-treaters to its facility at 21 East Main Street in Waukon Thursday, October 31 from 4-6 p.m. Residents will be in their doorways with treats for everyone. The residents delight in seeing the children and their costumes.

Southcrest Senior Living
Southcrest Senior Living Facility would like to invite trick-or-treaters to its facility along Second Street SW in Waukon Thursday, October 31 from 4:30-6 p.m. Residents look forward to seeing the children and their costumes, as well as sharing treats with them.
