Home ›Personalized Waukon Indian flags now for sale
As one of the many efforts in support of the proposed athletic training facility project described in the surrounding article, the Allamakee Athletic Booster Club, Keep the ‘W’ Burning Committee, and Waukon Wrestling Club will be selling personalized Waukon Indian flags. The personalized flags are available in 15 different styles, including football, volleyball, boys cross country, girls cross country, boys basketball, girls basketball, wrestling, cheerleading, track, girls golf, boys golf, softball, baseball, music and academics. The flags are orange and black and can have the student participant’s last name and uniform number printed on them for the activity they choose to participate in.
The cost of each flag is $45 and the deadline for ordering them is April 25 to have them here by this year’s graduation date. Committee members feel the flags would make great graduation gifts or decorations for a graduation party, in addition to being a good way to support up and coming student participants.
Order forms may be picked up from the Waukon Senior High School office, Pat and Donna Bresnahan, Katie Hennessy at Cote’Color Photography or Dawn Farley. Checks should be made payable to Keep the “W” Burning. Completed order forms and payment can be mailed to Dawn Farley at 708 2nd Ave NW, Waukon, IA 52172 or turned in at the Waukon Senior High School office. For more information or to see samples of the flags, contact Dawn Farley at 568-2801.
Also in the works for the near future is a general Waukon Indian flag the three groups will have available for sale to support all Waukon Indian activities. Watch for further details.
