Rehearsals underway for ACPI's "Feudin', Fightin' and Fussin'" production scheduled for early November

Rehearsals are underway for the Allamakee Community Players production of "Feudin', Fightin' and Fussin'", a comedy by LeRoma Greth. The public is invited to join the Players for a trip to Polecat County with the smug Mrs. Lucius Q. Snodgrass and her distinguished assistant, William Bishop III.
They want to bring culture to Polecat County in the form of a library, but the townsfolk don't want a library, they want a recreation hall. Mrs. Snodgrass announces to the community that it will be a library or nothing and struts away leaving Mr. Bishop in charge of the marketing and design plans.
Intent on selling the idea of a library to Paw Fernheiser, the leader of the pro-recreation hall faction, Bill Bishop visits the Fernheisers and meets the love of his life, Lizzie Fernheiser. No hillbilly comedy is complete without a bit of a feud, and the Widow Kendall and her gun-totin' son, Hiram, keep the tension high when they announce they do want a "liberry".
Performances are scheduled for Friday, November 1 and Saturday, November 2 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, November 3 at 2 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waukon. All seats are general admission, with reduced ticket prices if purchased in advance. Doors open a half hour before the curtain rises. Tickets are available from any cast member, at Rockweiler's Appliance and TV in Waukon, or by calling Kris Larson at 563-864-7766.
