Reiser, Kurth exchanged vows in Oct. 9 ceremony

Jessica Reiser and Adam Kurth were united in marriage Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at First Presbyterian Church, Waukon. Rev. Larry Olson officiated the 3 p.m. ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Mark and Nancy Reiser of Waukon, Dale and Virginia Kurth of Waukon, and Marsha Kurth of La Crosse, Wis. The bride's grandparents are Dale and Elaine Reiser. Grandparents of the groom are Francis and Celia Garrett and Gerald Kurth.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She chose a white strapless A-line gown by Maggie Sottero which featured a sweep train, draped chiffon overlay, and a lace-up back. The gown was trimmed with Swarovski crystals, pearls, and sequins. She wore a pearl choker accented with rhinestones, a matching bracelet, and tear drop rhinestone earrings set in sterling silver. She carried a bouquet of a dozen and a half long stemmed red roses.
The bride's personal attendants were Erika Graves and Stacey Brown.
Maid of honor was Rachel Reiser, sister of the bride. Samantha Reiser and Nikky Cota, sisters of the bride, Selina Kurth, sister of the groom, and Darcy Christianson, cousin of the bride, were bridesmaids. The ladies wore deep red strapless A-line gowns with a chiffon overlay. The gowns were trimmed with crystals and matched the bride's dress.
Garrett Kurth was best man for his brother's wedding. Groomsmen were Chris Riley, brother of the groom, James Cota, brother-in-law of the bride, Chris Kurth, cousin of the groom, and Joe Jackson.
Ushers were Brian Miller and Al Hanson and usherettes were Dana DeBuhr and Sacha Sweeney.
Aubree Cota, niece of the bride, was the flower girl and Nathan Benzing, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.
Thea Thies and Shelly Prieditis, both cousins of the bride, were soloists and Dianne Prieditis, cousin of the bride, was organist. Erin Torkelson played trumpet for the ceremony. Music included "I Could Not Ask For More," "He Has Chosen You For Me," and "The Wedding Song," which was played during the lighting of the unity candle.
Readers were Gail Meyer, aunt of the groom, and Curt Reiser, uncle of the bride.
A reception was held at 4:30 p.m. at the Waukon Reception and Banquet Center.
Hosts and hostesses were Tom and Joan Fritz and Don and Deb Burrichter, aunts and uncles of the bride.
Gift carriers were Tyler and Adam Benzing, Joe and Luke Kann, and Laen and Brennan Folsom, cousins of the bride.
Clint and Dacia Johnson presided at the guestbook.
Cake cutters were Marilyn Larson, aunt of the bride, and Diane Moose, aunt of the groom.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Waukon Senior High and a 2003 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in education. She is employed as a special education teacher at New Albin Elementary.
The groom is a 1997 Waukon Senior High graduate. He also attended Northeast Iowa Community College in Calmar. He's currently employed by DeBuhr & Casper Plumbing & Heating of Waukon.
The couple honeymooned in Cancun in January and reside in rural Lansing.
