Snowmobile Safety Course offered

A Snowmobile Safety Class will be offered by the Allamakee County Conservation Board at the Allamakee County Conservation Board Office Saturday, January 9. The Conservation Board Office is located at 427 North First Street in Harpers Ferry (at the Public Boat Landing in Harpers Ferry).
The class will begin at 8 a.m. and will finish at 3 p.m. Minimum age for the class is 12 years of age and adults are welcome to attend the class. There is a $5 registration for the class payable the day of class.
Pre-registration for the class is necessary and can be done by calling the Allamakee County Conservation Board office at 563-586-2996. If necessary, leave a message with the name and phone number of students attending.
Students may also register by e-mailing accb@acegroup.cc. Class size is limited and registration deadline is January 4.
Students should bring the following to class: $5 registration fee, correct mailing address, social security number, drink and sack lunch. Students should also dress for cold weather and may bring their own helmets for the riding portion of the class.
The class will cover sled maintenance, safety information, laws and regulations, and operation ethics. Students will complete both class room and riding requirements.
