Waukon to be part of Reading Road Trip Tour

Iowa Public Television has announced the network will embark on another tour of Iowa libraries during the eighth annual summer Reading Road Trip, with Robey Memorial Library in Waukon once again being part of that tour. Dan Wardell, popular host of the IPTV KIDS Clubhouse, will welcome kids and families in communities across Iowa throughout the summer.
Iowa Public Television will partner with 68 libraries across the state of Iowa to promote summer reading in June and July. Wardell will tell an interactive original story at the libraries, encouraging kids to spend time reading, playing outside, using their imagination and eating healthy snacks.
In addition to the scheduled story times at libraries across Iowa, Wardell will keep an online journal of his fun on the Reading Road Trip with pictures, an interactive map, video and more. Families can follow Wardell online at www.iptv.org/dantastic or on Facebook at IPTV KIDS Clubhouse.
A complete schedule with dates and towns for the 2014 Reading Road Trip will be announced by IPTV at a later date as the summer season approaches.
