Allamakee SWCD Commissioners meeting has been set for April 6
The April meeting of the Allamakee County Soil and Water Conservation District Commissioners will take place Wednesday, April 6 at 1 p.m. The meeting will be held at the USDA Service Center in Waukon.

Waukon Chamber of Commerce to hold its annualbanquet Saturday
The Waukon Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its annual banquet this Saturday, April 9 at the Waukon Reception and Banquet Center. Social hour will begin at 6 p.m., with dinner being served at 7 p.m. and the evening’s program set to begin at 8 p.m. One of the highlights of the evening will be the announcement of Waukon’s “Person of the Year”.
Allamakee Community School District Superintendent John Speer will be the featured speaker for the event, and KNEI Radio’s Chuck Allen will serve as Master of Ceremonies. In addition to the above-mentioned events, there will also be an auction of donated items and door prizes given away throughout the night. Stan Ewing will serve as the auctioneer for the event.

Allamakee Dollars for Scholars to hold April 15 breakfast event
Allamakee Dollars for Scholars will hold a Recognition Breakfast Friday, Apr. 15 at 7:30 a.m. in the Waukon Senior High School Cafeteria. The breakfast is being held to thank individual and group donors - all of whom are invited to the event, and to introduce student applicants - who, along with their parents, will be special guests.
Reservations are not necessary for the breakfast, but would be appreciated and may be made with Amy Wasson at 568-3466 or Julie Rotach at 568-3754.
