WHS athletes to be inducted into Wall of Fame this Friday

Several Waukon Senior High athletes will be inducted into the WHS Wall of Fame during halftime of this Friday's boys basketball game with Charles City. Athletes to be honored have been named to an All-State squad or participated on a team that scored a high finish in state competition.
Scheduled to be honored at this Friday's event are:
2004 girls basketball team (state champions), including Sam Reiser (1st team All-State, captain of All-Tournament team) and Christa Hammel (1st team All-State, All-Tournament team); track and field athletes Andy Schon (3rd in 3200, 5th in 1600), Sarah Hammel (6th in 1500), Ryan Snitker (5th 400 hurdles), Tami Magner (state champion in shot put), Angie Weymiller (Academic All-State), and Amanda Rolling (Academic All-State); Tami Magner (2nd team All-State softball, Cedar Rapids Gazette Runner-up Athlete of the Year), Shawn Cunningham (Shrine Bowl MVP); 2004 boys cross country team (3rd at state), including Junior Swart (All-State); 2004 girls cross country team (3rd at state), including Sarah Hammel (All-State); Vannessa Herman (All-State Cheerleading); Academic All-State volleyball players Sam Reiser, Emily Garrett, Chantel Snitker, Hannah Walleser, and Suzy Grimstad; Dan Cook (Academic All-State football); and Kyle McCormick (2nd team All-State football, 2005 Shrine Bowl participant).
